Privacy policy
What data we use, and why
Effective October 16, 2026. In plain English: what personal data we process on this website and through our customer channels, who we share it with, and how to exercise your rights.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Clappbox, owned by Eduardo O’Toole, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
For any questions about your data or this policy, email us at eduardo@clappbox.com.
This is an English translation of our privacy policy, which is governed by Argentine law. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
What happens when you visit this website
This website has no forms: we don’t ask for your name, email or phone number to browse it. If you want to contact us, you do it by WhatsApp or email, and that data is used as explained below.
Analytics and ad measurement. We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking. These tools use cookies (for example _ga, _ga_* and _gcl_au) and record usage data: which pages you visited, where you came from, your device and browser type, and an approximate location. We use it to learn which content is useful and whether our ads work, not to identify you. Google processes this data under its own policy, which explains how it uses data from sites that use its services.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or turn off Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The website works the same without them.
Server logs. Like any web server, ours records the IP address, date, requested page and browser of each visit. We use these logs only for the security and operation of the website (for example, to stop attacks), and they are deleted periodically.
When you message us on WhatsApp or by email
If you message our WhatsApp line (+54 9 11 6858-7757) or email consultas@clappbox.com, we use your name, your number or email address, and whatever you tell us to reply, put together a proposal, or provide the service you ask for. We don’t use it for anything else, and we never add you to mailing lists without your permission.
Support through the WhatsApp Business API
The number +54 11 7505-3428 runs on Meta’s official WhatsApp Business platform (Cloud API). We use it to receive and organize our clients’ support requests: the Clappbox team may send that number messages, screenshots, voice notes or files with a client’s request, so that our system can organize it and help us resolve it.
What data is processed: the phone number and profile name of the sender, and the content of the messages and files, which may include data the client gave us in their request. Messages from anyone not authorized to use that channel are not processed.
What for: only to understand and resolve the support request (for example, to transcribe a voice note or read a screenshot) and to keep a record of the work done for that client. We use artificial intelligence tools to process them; changes to a client’s website are always approved by a person at Clappbox.
How long: we keep messages and files for as long as they’re needed to resolve the request and as a history of the service we provide to that client. You can ask us to delete them at any time, except for anything the law requires us to keep.
Who we share data with
We don’t sell or rent personal data, or share it with third parties for advertising. Only the providers we need to deliver our service are involved, and only for that purpose:
- Meta (WhatsApp), which transmits the messages on our support number and processes them under the WhatsApp Business terms.
- Anthropic, which provides the artificial intelligence (Claude) we use to process support requests.
- Google, for website analytics (Analytics and Google Ads) and our email.
- Telegram, which we use as an internal notification channel for the Clappbox team.
- The servers we contract to host this website and our systems.
Some of these providers process data outside Argentina (for example, in the United States). We may also have to hand over data if a competent authority requires it under the law.
How we protect data
The website only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to our servers and systems is restricted to the Clappbox team, and we use access credentials that are never shared. No system is infallible, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your rights
Under Argentina’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326, you can ask us for access to the data we hold about you and for its correction, update or deletion. Email us at eduardo@clappbox.com from an address or number that lets us confirm you are the data subject. As the law requires, we answer access requests within 10 calendar days and correction or deletion requests within 5 business days.
Data subjects may exercise their right of access free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, as set out in Article 14, paragraph 3, of Law No. 25,326.
The Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP), as the supervisory authority for Law No. 25,326, is empowered to handle complaints from anyone whose rights are affected by a breach of data protection rules. More information at argentina.gob.ar/aaip.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and its effective date. This version is effective as of October 16, 2026.
