How we work
What does Clappbox do?
We build custom web software with AI built in, for the part of your business that no off-the-shelf tool handles. We also have our own platforms for wholesalers, retailers and auction houses, and Caia, our AI agent.
How do we get started?
Message us on WhatsApp or email us and tell us what you sell and how you work. We’ll send you a fixed-price proposal, with clear scope, timeline and price before we start.
What does the monthly plan include?
Hosting, email on your domain, security, updates, support, and Caia on the job. We make sure everything stays up and running.
What’s the difference between custom software and a platform?
Custom software is built from scratch for your business, and it’s yours. A platform is already built and proven: we adapt it to your business and you use it for a monthly fee that covers everything, so you’re up and running in days with a much smaller upfront investment.
Is my data mine?
Always. Whatever you sign up for, your domain, your data and your customers belong to you.
What technology do you use?
WordPress and WooCommerce, the most widely used foundation for websites and online stores in the world, with our own development on top: proven, secure, and easy to connect with the tools you already use.
Can I start with one part and add the rest later?
Yes. Our platforms are modular: you can start with online sales and add the store counter, sales reps, Caia or SEO later, on the same foundation.
What is GEO?
Generative Engine Optimization: getting your business mentioned when people ask AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity about what you sell. It works hand in hand with SEO, on your own website.
You’re in Argentina. Can you work with businesses in the U.S.?
Yes. Our software runs in the cloud and we work remotely. Buenos Aires is just one or two hours ahead of New York, so our working hours overlap with yours all day.

How much does custom software cost?
It depends on the scope. After discovery, we send you a fixed-price proposal, with the timeline and price set before we start.
How long does it take?
We work in phases, and the first one goes live in days. You don’t have to wait for everything to be finished to start using it.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. What we build for your business is yours, just like your domain and your data.
What happens after launch?
We stay: hosting, security, support and ongoing improvements, for a clear monthly fee.
Can you add AI to it?
Yes. Caia, our AI agent, plugs into the software we build to look up data, enter information and carry out tasks, just by chatting.
Can you reuse what you build for me with other clients?
Your data, your brand and what makes your business unique are yours and are never shared. We do reuse generic technical building blocks, and that’s why each project costs less. If you need exclusivity in your industry, we can agree on it.
What if I’m not sure what I need?
That’s the most common case. All you need to know is which part of your business is costing you more than it should. We’ll figure out the rest together.

Do I need an online store first?
No. We build the whole platform from scratch and handle the initial setup of your catalog.
Can I keep taking orders by phone, text or WhatsApp?
Yes. The difference is that now you send the customer a link to their price list, and the order arrives complete, with their prices and their volume discounts.
How do I approve wholesale customers?
When someone signs up, you get a notification. You approve them from the dashboard and assign their price list.
What if my prices change every week?
Update the price list, or hand it to Caia, and the store, the volume discounts and the PDF catalog are up to date instantly.
Why a monthly plan?
Because the platform isn’t something we hand over and forget. Your plan covers hosting, email on your domain, security, updates, ongoing improvements, support, and Caia. That’s why getting started costs a fraction of a custom build, and you’re selling within days.
Does it include email on my domain?
Yes. As many mailboxes on your domain as you need, with 10 GB in total that we expand if you need more, on your computer and your phone. If you’d rather use Google Workspace, it works seamlessly with the platform, and we’ll set it up for you.
Is my data mine?
Always. Your domain, your products, your customers and your orders belong to you, and you can download them whenever you want.

Do I need a physical store?
No. If you only sell online, the platform starts with your online store and Caia. The store counter and sales reps can be added the day you need them.
I already have an online store. Will this work?
Let’s look at it together. If your store runs on WooCommerce, we build on top of what you have. If it’s on another platform, we’ll propose how to move your products and your customers over.
Can I keep selling on Instagram and WhatsApp?
Yes. The difference is that you reply with a link to the product, with up-to-date price and stock, and the sale closes on its own.
Who adds the products?
We help with the initial setup. After that, Caia adds new products from a photo or a spreadsheet, and you confirm.

Does it replace my accounting software?
No, and it doesn’t need to. Sales Desk handles quotes, orders, inventory and customer accounts, and exports everything your accountant needs to a spreadsheet.
How does voice dictation work?
Tap the microphone and say the sale in one go: who it’s for, the products and quantities, whether it’s a quote, and how they’re paying. Caia puts it together and you review it before saving. It works on your phone and your computer.
How many sales reps can use it?
As many as you need. Each one logs in with their own account from their phone and only sees what they should.
Does it work with my current online store?
If your store runs on WooCommerce, it connects directly. If you use another platform, we’ll look at it on our first call.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the number of locations and sales reps. After a half-hour call, we’ll send you a fixed-price proposal.

Can Caia break something?
Before every change, it shows you exactly what it’s going to do and waits for your OK. Without your approval, it doesn’t touch a thing.
Do I need to be tech-savvy?
No. You write or talk to it the way you would to someone on your team, in plain English, with no commands to learn.
What websites does it work on?
WordPress websites. Store management requires WooCommerce; the SEO module works on any site.
Does it learn my industry?
Yes. Caia already works with stamp dealers, hardware stores, party supply shops, cosmetics and apparel brands. If it needs to learn yours, we teach it.
